Hi everyone. Live in the flats of eastern South Dakota. I have a 2012 Ram 1500 4x4 Express 3.92 w/airbags and 50k on the odometer. use this pickup to pull out small BP camper, 3 horse gooseneck trailer 8k lbs, lumber, and occasionally hay. I have a company car so this is just a run around rig. Been a good rig but I'm debating changing to a 2008 F250 or F350 6.4 or comparable HD diesel. Looking at a clean 2008 F250 lariat w/120k miles for $22,500. Want to get into a heavier duty tow rig. Any input or suggestions? My apologies if this is the wrong place to post this. Thanks!
Welcome to the site! You’ve come to the right to gain some insight. Since you're doing a lot of heavy towing, you might check out Torklift’s StableLoad suspension upgrade. By pre-activating the effects of the factory suspension, it will dramatically reduce sway/body roll and greatly improve your ride quality when under load.
They also work great in conjunction with airbags – if you have a moment, check out this thread and see what some others have experienced: LINK
