got my box out and gotta figure out how to get fan motor replaced search could not find a thread on this anyone remember someone going thru this ? looking for new gaskets and foam to put back together as well ? might be putting a temporary block off plate in while i get it put back together looks like this is gonna be hard to get apart to get to fan motor and the foam is pretty tired on blend door
Remove the hdwr holding the blend door and remove the complete bracket. You might have to compress (squeeze) the blend door rod )ends) together to get the ends out the box. Then remove the 3 screws holding the motor/cage and the mount bracket. Use a allen wrench in between the cage fins to loosen the set screw. Remove the cage off the motor shaft. Remove motor from bracket. Unless your motor came with the bracket.
Then back together as came apart. Make sure and test power up and ck that the direction of the blower motor is correct. I would NOT trust that the wire colors are 100% correct. Urban legend that some times they are wired backwards.
Just saying do not get mad at your evap box for being so big.
No this is not the way to do it either, but it can be done. There are some FTE threads about it.
Some things just happen to fit...sort of.

awesome thank you with a little more digging i found old thread from 2010 that i remember seeing once upon a time about the guy doing it from the engine side with pictures. also found a list of step by step instructions i should have it done and back together this week. what about suggestions for the seal or gaskets for both the engine side plastic box and inside both had some sort of seal but thru years are toast might have to check lmc ?
