Shocks for Tremor

What is the popular option for softer riding shocks on the Tremor package? I know it has a slight lift to it, I'm looking for a budget friendly option as I have no need for a full suspension system. I rarely go offroad and then only mild dirt roads so looking for something that rides softer on road.

18x9 wheels, 18-25mm offset. 35x12.5 tires. Kenda RT. 30-40 psi. Swaybar removal or upgrade. Fox 2.0's.

Avoid gas valved Fox shocks. The standard ones are better.

The above is fairly budget, and works well for us over here. Dont expect miracles from shocks, without some tire work.

Which ones are the standard shocks?

As mentioned, shocks do not equate into a smoother ride, they only dampen road shock. 90% of everything you feel on your butt comes from the tires. A stiffer shock reacts faster to bumps, forcing the tire to the ground, softer or worn shocks allow for a slower response causing wheel hop and poor handling. Tire sidewall stiffness is where comfort in ride comes from, LT tires are firmer than P tires, but softer than Commercial tires, so finding a soft walled LT will do more for your ride comfort than any shock will.

For Example, the F450 ride is HARSH while the F350 DRW has a comfortable ride. Both use the same spring packs and shocks, but the main difference are the axles and tires. The F450 uses Commercial steel walled tires, the F350 uses LT. If you want a softer ride in an F450 you have to replace the wheels with 20" or larger in order to install LT tires. If I run 80 PSI on the F350 tires, I can feel every crack and bump, but air them down to 65, and the ride is caddilac smooth. The F450 tires, being 19.5 commercial, if you went down to 75 PSI you risk the tire blowing off the rim.

IOW if you went and replaced all the shocks, you might get better handling, but it wont do much at all for the ride comfort.

Couldn't say from my own experience. I know I do not like their multi-tube shocks, the adjustable ones that Rancho is kind of known for. The RS7MT for some reason fly under the radar a lot it seems, but they're a monotube like a Bilstein 5100 or Fox 2.0 but they don't have the stiffer digressive valving of a Bilstein, they're linear like (most) Fox 2.0 shocks are, so they're more comfortable on the street.
