This may be the wrong place to asked this but I wasn't sure where else to ask. I have chrome running boards on my 2020 F150 that have the black rubber steps. The black rubber at the drivers door is deforming and cracking. Is there something I can spray over them or coat them with that will stop this? They are after market running boards that are no longer made. You get what you pay for!!!
I linexed my running boards on my old Raptor. Looked great and lasted. As long as there's no rust, you should be good.
What did they charge you for that? Did you R&R the running boards yourself, or did they do them on the truck?
Ours has a clear-coat on them that has started to peel. I've been considering taking them off, cleaning them up (maybe bead blasting?), and coating them with an after-market bed liner material.

I removed them and took them in myself... 4 bolts each as I recall. I had a promotional deal, so I think I paid $75.
I found a product called 'Herculiner'. It's parent company is J-B Weld. It's a spray in bed liner and says it can be used for other applications. I'm thinking about trying it. Anyone know anything about this product?

I used it to line the floor in my Scout. Results were meh. Don't use it in your garage. The fumes are terrible. Eastwood has a product I've heard good things about it seems.

It has better reviews than the Herculiner and from what I'm finding, Tractor Supply has it in stock!! Hey man, I see you are from Montana, my sister in law lives out there as well.
