So I have 2019 350. I have a cracked tail light. I was looking at new ones and stumbled across LED tail lights. has anyone replaces their incandescent lights with led. By the looks of the wiring I will have to wire them in. I will probably add waterproof connectors in case I need to remove them. I dont want to waste the money if they wont work.
Thanks in advance.

It can be done but it would be much easier to purchase a set of usedOEM LED tail lights and there are a couple entities that sell a correct harness to connect them and then use ForScan to change the setting from Incandescent to LED. You might be able to do this also with a programmer. GOOGLE Boosted Gray Goose, they do a number of different harnesses for various updates/changes that are plug n' play, no chance of moisture intrusion. If you use aftermarket LED's, you'll probably have to use resisters (inline) to stop hyper flash.
As stated above go OEM or at least a proven aftermarket. From what I have read on here just any old LED may cause more havoc than it’s worth.
My son was selling his 2001 Lexus but it has a burned out brake light bulb. He bought an LED bulb set for all the brake, tail and running lights. Now he gets an error on the dash which is due to the car’s internal “check” that thinks the LED are a fault. My advice was to go back to all incandescent bulbs which he doesn’t want to do because he spent a bit of money on the LED’s, admittedly they are much brighter. Online forums say there is some sort of module in the rear of the car that you can pull out and replace, solder, something like ten different resistors to solve the problem…ya right. Anyway quite the mess from just changing the bulb.
