I am wanting to put in 3 point retractable belts and was wondering if anyone has the ones from Retrobelt in your truck. Just wondering for actual reviews of them, or if someone knows of ones from a better company. Thanks.
I have. Lately I have been using Seat Belt Planet. US made and a larger choice of colors and made to the exact size you want.
I have done 3 points in:
56 F100
65 F100
65 & 67 Mustang Fastback
66 & 68 Mustang Coupe
68 BMW 1600-2

thank you for the link. Aside from the curved reinforcement panel, that was the same way I was going to do it as well. Now i just need to figure out how to make that reinforcement panel. Did you source your own mounting brackets or go with the $45 mounting kit from retrobelts?
The reinforcement plates were a couple a couple of SS plates I happened to have laying around.
I had a couple of boxes of seat belt hardware that I have been using for my various I listed. When I was building the 60s Mustangs with our kids for their first cars (they paid for 1/2 of everything and did all the work with me, no give a kid a car thing in this family) I did some install write-ups for RB (not sure they ever used them) so they sent me several boxes of hardware that I have been working off since then.
The threaded plates are available from various places, RB, Seat Belt Planet, etc.
As I mentioned, I now use Seat Belt Planet. Better choice of colors. Made to the exact size you want. Great customer service. RB was good at the time but they have cut the color choices way back and on offer 1 or 2 sizes/lengths.

so I ordered some samples. But I saw that there was like 4 different lengths for the 3 points. Since it’s retractable wouldn’t it make more sense to get the longest version since it retracts back into the base?
or if you get a shorter set up, the base is smaller?

just a little confused in that aspect.
So are you talking from Retro Belt or Seat Belt Planet?
If you haven't called them, do so.
I believe will make them custom lengths. Pretty sure that was what I did when I build my brother-in-law's '56 F100 recently.
They are very helpful and can direct you how to measure to get the correct length.

Thanks for both this post and the link to '65's earlier write up. Saved the link and it's now added to my to-do list. The DPO, took out the drivers seat belt (only!) so since I've got to do SOMETHING, I might as well put in 3 points...
