2026 is West Virginia's year of BS again!

Welcome to 2026 everyone and another year of joyous times.
For me 2025 was less than desirable in many ways but I made it through. It is 2330 my time and in 30 minutes it will be Mom's 95th birthday. I have had a stressful year in many ways but have persevered and in 2026 I will again make it through. As everyone knows I had to move in with Mom and take care of her, the house and other things here. Yes, I had to leave my house and wife whom I miss very much. I get to see her for a few hours once every week or two and I haven't spent but 5 nights at my home in the last year.
All that has caused me to change and do things differently and in the last month has caused me some problems. I decided to make some changes in my life a few weeks ago and I have already seen and felt a difference.

So, I plan to be here more often if not every day.

With that out of the way I would like to say thinks to everyone here who has dropped by and given Mom and I well wishes.

Without further Ado, Let the 2026 BS Fly!

OH, Happy New Year.

P.S. Wifey and I are still together and neither have any plans on changing that!

Good morning Rod...Jim...all of WV...Happy New Year!!! Woke up this morning to about an inch of fresh white...hope MA Nature is taking good care of you!!!

Rod wish Mom a HAPPY BIRTHDAY from FTE Land!!! I know that Massachusetts has a program where caregivers can take some time off to take care of personal business and just get a break from the pressures of caregiving. Does WV have any program like that. Maybe you could find some time to get together with your bride...take her out to lunch...go shopping with her...or...something. It would be worth checking out...if you haven't already.

Hope y'all have a great day!!!

Happy New Year West Virginia, Jim, Ken, Steve, Lin, George, Tim, Chuck, Craig and all the crew.

Ken, I have looked and there is some basic programs here but they are very difficult to deal with.
thanks for the concern my friend!

Lin. I hope you are feeling better today.

Well I made it to 2300 and passed out and woke at 0600 as usual. 32°, a dusting of sheet on the grass but the roads are clear. And we have reached the high for the day and no more white sheet today.

P..S. home internet is down this morning,l. The Phone Co is working on it. So when they get us back up, I will make the rounds. So I am on my phone for thus post. I hate the mobile version of FTE. Hard to use!
That is one of the things I am changing, getting back to what was my normal routine a year ago.

Hi Rod. Zonked out at 10pm. Dog had to go out at 2:45AM. interrupted my "beauty sleep "...........yes I know it's not working but, have to try.
Coffee and breakfast done, time to play in the snow. Nope have to check water coming into the basement. It's coming in from an area it never has before. Don't know if it's due to land shifting
or from the well line. Put bleach in the well yesterday to see if there is a chlorine smell in the water. As per advice from County Health Dept. I was going to use a food grade dye but, that was
not recommended.

Fantastic Friday West Virginia, Jim, Ken, Lin, George, Steve, Shaun, Pat, Craig, Chuck and all the Mountaineer Crew. Yesterday was a good New Years Day with Mom, Wifey, BBF Steve, the kids, Grandson and me. It was an hors d'oeuvre day and people picked at it all day as they pleased. Mom had a great New Years Day Birthday and had plenty of phone calls wishing her well.
That is a life moment when you turn 95!

Steve, yes, lots of thinking and more time doing things I did a lot before a year ago but lost out on doing here.

Ken, I hope you are having a good day at I would assume is at work!

George, Bleach is the better idea because dyes may not be easily seen but yes, the bleach is very easy to detect!

Lin, I hope you are feeling better today.

I will make part of today's rounds now but Mom has a hair appointment, then out to lunch, maybe meet Wifey as well, then home later this afternoon. Then I will make the rest of the states.

Have a joyous and blessed day.
