another auto 4X4 question

Sorry, I don't guess I explained it very well. It was the overhead console switch that was bad. I finally gave up and took it to a mechanic who diagnosed it. These switches are no longer available from Ford, but he was able to find a used one at a junkyard. Total cost for diagnosis, labor, and part was 118 bucks. It worked like a charm all winter. I'm trying to remember to turn the 4WD on once a week or so when I pull out of the alley (gravel) just to keep it working. Are you having the same problem?
