One other thing to note, when I tuned my 16 I had an SCT tuner that was tied to the truck, it had the stock tune in it as well as the other tunes I purchased. With the EZLynk it seems that the device can be used on multiple vehicles, that my ezlynk account it the connection tied to my truck.
A friend with a 17 deleted when new wanted an updated tune, and the ezlynk technician told him he could use my ezlynk, he’d just need to create his own account.
I’m unsure with this generation of PCMs if the stock tune is extracted, and then the purchased tune is loaded like with my old SCT. When I log into my account I do not see my stock emission tune in my account, only a copy of the tune I bought.
If I ever deleted, no doubt I would want my stock tune saved on the flash tuner "just in case."

For anyone also looking into a delete kit for 6.4 powerstroke the tuning process works similarly where stock tune handling can vary depending on the platform. When I log into my account I do not see my stock emission tune in my account only a copy of the tune I bought.
For a 2016 the most recommended delete kits that people trust for long term reliability are H&S Mini Maxx and EZ Lynk AutoAgent as they are known for solid tuning support and easy updates. SCT and Spartan tuners also have a good reputation but EZ Lynk is probably the most popular right now for the 6.7 because of its remote tuning capability which means your tuner can push updates directly to your truck without you having to do anything complicated. Since your issues have been emissions related a full delete with a reliable tune will basically eliminate all of that. Just make sure you pair your kit with a reputable tuner who has real experience with the 6.7 specifically because the tune matters just as much as the hardware itself.
