I’m going to try to keep the weight of trailer and contents around 10K with the load properly distributed. I’m getting a weigh safe hitch to keep an eye on the hitch weight. And keep the heavy stuff down low if possible.
We average 8 to 10 mpg pulling a smallish fiver with our 7.3, normally cruising at 65 mph. Wind and hills you can't control, but your speed makes a big difference too. One of the best things about retirement is not having to rush!

30'-5" long, 13'-3" tall, so called "ultra-lite". The PDF attached to my last post shows where I normally scale. It's just for reference since you asked about mileage with a 7.3, maybe your travel trailer will do better since it won't be as tall. I budget for 8 mpg and $3.50 per gallon if I'm trying to guess, and I'm usually happy because I usually beat that by a little.

Only hand calculated a couple times out of curiosity. Gate about 14 when towing. Depends on the topography.
AND I would imagine that speed also comes into play. Anything above 65mph and I can almost watch the fuel gauge needle dropping, especially when towing a 8.5'-wide enclosed trailer! LOL! It really is amazing how much wind resistance comes into play with different speeds. Just by adding a tonneau cover, my OBS gained 1mpg at highway speeds due to cutting down on the turbulence behind the cab (truck only).
