Those security screws are not stopping anyone that intends to get them off as thieves carry those as well. If you want to slow them down a bit more, fill in the void on the head of that security screw with a little JB weld. The only way to get that screw off will be to drill it out and that is going to take considerable time and make a lot of noise. Granted. much more work for you to get them off if ever needed but it sure helps frustrating others trying to steal them.

Omhabravodesigns use a unique design on their screws that will hopefully slow them down.
Not sure if correct, but hasn't it been seen that thieves are now just yanking the lights out since they are just held in with the fasteners just screwed into the plastic housing of the light assembly?

That locked tailgate can be unlocked in 30 seconds by taking the inside panel off.
I just changed the panel hardware and light hardware to anti-theft fasteners I bought at ACE hardware. Most of those taillight thieves will not have the correct bit to remove them.
They would have to cut a hole in my metal bed cover to get to that access cover.
I went with a stainless version to hopefully keep them looking good for a while. These ones were made by tail light knight. When I have my tailgate off with the slide in camper in the bed they are really vulnerable to theft so I figured anything is better than nothing!

I looked at those but I'd also like to add the plates from LatchLid that cover the access ports on the tailgate. They probably wouldn't work in conjunction with each other. I contacted TailLightKnight to ask.
OmahaBravo has a combo kit but I'm not ready yet to spend $335. Maybe if I lived in a high crime area. But I'm fairly rural.
