I’ve been searching the web and haven’t found any interior extinguisher floor mounts specific to the ‘24 250/350. All ideas are appreciated.
I know you want a hard mount specific for 24s. I have a mid size fire extinguisher with an anti rattle old sock around it that fits perfectly in my driver front door lower storage and cup holder area. I grew to like this because the fire extinguisher is out of the way but always quick and easy to grab. Our work trucks have the standard metal clamp style fire extinguisher holder bolted to the floor. These work okay but occasionally I unintentionally hit the release lever and the clamp tries to open.

You did not say what cab configuration you have, but with my crew cab it’s under the back seat. Easy to get to and you can get a larger one. Keep in mind all fire extinguishers run for seconds, not minutes. The old adage “size matters” applies to extinguishers as well!

True, but I wanted mine where I could reach it without unbuckling my seat belt or getting out of the truck. Speed can matter too, with a fire. Remember, it is not to save the truck, it is to get me safely away from the truck while it burns. If it does save the truck, that is a bonus.

no back seat in our crew cab as I have made cabinets for stowage. In our previous expo rig I had a mount bolted to the seat bolts just in front of the drivers seat. Worked great and was very handy. If it’s stowed in the back, one more door to open when seconds count. I looked up the element extinguishers- 50 seconds of put out juice is a great thing for a device so small. So far that device is on the top of my list.

So instead of unbuckling and trying to distance yourself from a fire you want your first reaction to be to stay buckled in the truck and try to grab the fire extinguisher so you can get away?

No. I want my first reaction to be to stop the fire that is actively burning me. Everything else comes after. What I don't want to do is unbuckle my seatbelt, get out of the truck, thereby escaping, then go BACK to the truck to open ANOTHER door to try to retrieve a fire extinguisher. Once out of the truck, I am running away, not to the back door.
I even put this in my original post: "Remember, it is not to save the truck, it is to get me safely away from the truck while it burns. If it does save the truck, that is a bonus."
The whole, entire point is to escape the truck. A fire extinguisher under the back seat does not help that in any way.

Just consider that a small fire extinguisher lasts between 6-12 seconds. Vehicle fires are intense, and once you detect it your first and only reaction should be to stop the vehicle and bail out. I was a police officer for many years. Wherever you decide to mount it, an extinguisher should be a go to once you are out of the vehicle, can access it and can attempt to extinguish safely.

Yes. And if the fire is burning the seat belt release so I can't touch it? You seem to not understand that the fire extinguisher is solely, only, uniquely to get me out of the truck. It is for nothing else. At all. Are you really saying that I would be safer without a fire extinguisher at all? I find that hard to believe, but that is the message that is coming across.
I have stated in, literally, every post that the goal is to escape from the truck.

Why not just wear a seatbelt cutter on you everytime you drive if you're that paranoid about being able to escape a front seat fire?
Anyone try the "Desert Does It" Multi-Mount Panel? I've been looking for a fire extinguisher mount and have been considering this one. I haven't found anyone yet with real world experience with this set up, but it looks pretty interesting. These pictures are from their website.

That was just an example. Maybe, just maybe, I like to be prepared for other eventualities besides a fire burning the seat belt release. Maybe a fire is burning my wife in the other seat and a seat belt cutter is not the answer. Why are you concerned about my carrying a fire extinguisher? It seems to me that it is none of your business. Again, my one and only, sole, goal is to escape the truck.
I do not understand why everyone thinks that I should not carry a fire extinguisher.
