Hey sorry for the delay in replies, been a hectic year so far lol. I recently pulled the computer and popped it open to find some corrosion in it. Looks like some water managed to get in or something else happened. It’s probably safe to say it is cooked. I cleaned as best I could to keep it running and driving and it did help it out a little. Either going to try to hunt up a junkyard unit or buy a remanned one
A junkyard unit is definitely a crap shot. You might get lucky though! Why not rebuild the one you have? Replace all capacitors and clean up traces, then reseal board.

I have one lined up for now, a buddy found it for me. I will definitely give a rebuild a try though, wouldn’t hurt to have it as a backup and if I screw it up I’m not out completely.
What side of Kentucky are you on? I still have the computer from my ZF5 F250 that should work for your C-6. I would just give it to you if you.
I am in central, a buddy found one for me and I will get it sometime next week. Thankfully the truck still kind of works so if I get in a pinch I can still use it.
Well, got some good news. The ECM my buddy found fixed it. The truck purs like a kitten now. Thank you guys for the help, means the world. I’ll probably rebuild the other one to keep as a spare

I am honestly starting to hate this truck, not even a day after and it started acting up again on my way home from town……….. same friggin symptoms, no codes, high idle /12-1500 rpm) when putting it in park, stuttering when taking off from a stop, throttles up when coming to a stop……

Two options here. Next time it does it, immediately unplug the IAC. Does it recover? Second, maybe first for me, cut a 2” section of soda can and place it between EGR and intake blocking the port. Drive and see if that cures anything.

When unplugging the IAC, it idles way down which from what I understand is normal function of it. I will give the egr block a try though
Have you or anyone else adjusted the throttle screw for any reason?
Judging by its condition yes someone had messed with it before. To make it worse my dad started screwing with it yesterday after I told him NOT to screw with it. Not the first time he hasn't listened to me when it comes to vehicle 🤬. Last time he didn't listen he about lost a wheel going down the road after I told him that the CV axles on his 98 Chevy help hold the bearings together……
That is normal. That tells you that the IAC isn’t sticking, but instead being commanded. Solve the commanding issue (computer, intake air temp, o2, map, coolant temp) are talking the computer more is needed. A slight condition can also tell the computer you need more air.
