30-40 yr old plastic! You can test the sensor itself with a blow dryer kind of like a coolant temp sensor. Also if your pcv is ran to the back of the intake, move it to the tree and put your booster on the back. I would wait until you add the catch can to do that.

Welp some good news, drove it this morning without letting it warm up and it ran great, didn’t hesitate or try to stall once and it slowed down good. Hopefully that was the problem lol, Thank you for pointing the intake temp sensor, all the other forums I read that had similar or slightly different symptoms was leading me elsewhere.
Glad you got it fixed, hopefully it stays that way! Report back after a few days to day either way! The air temp is less common, but one of the factors for warm up, which I initially missed also.
get that intake cleaned when you can. You can try seafoam through the intake for starters. You’ll be surprised on how much the catch can will get.

Good morning, wanted to update you on the situation. So the truck does run sort of better with the new iats , got the catch can installed and the lines rerouted like you had mentioned. It doesn’t stumble or try to stall as much but it still does sometimes (don’t really know the ratio of when it doesn’t and when it does now but it is way less), it ran great when had to go help my mom pick up a couch of course it was warm then. I figured out the throttle cable spring was weak so it was causing the problem of it holding rpm when slowing down, replaced it with a new one and it works great. As for the stumbling problem that sort of still persists, my next culprit is the iac, it is new but that doesn’t stop it from being bad so its up next, will test it after work today since I have a master line kit for my multimeter here. Seems like I am half way there lol
PIP maybe? Did you ever get your reader and check for codes? Are all of your sensors and ignition components looking good now? Have you checked for vacuum leaks?

Got my reader, no codes, most of my sensors are new from the last owner. Ignition components are good, and no vacuum leaks
