After a few months with the Sulastic shackles and the 25% rate reduction front coils, all types of driving conditions I’m happy I did it. The truck is much more comfortable on long trips, but it’s still a 3/4 ton 4x4. It still has a choppy ride, it doesn’t ride like a 1/2 ton..but feels normal at this point, more like my Dodge 2500 and my Chevy straight axle 2500.

I talk to sulastic about shorten life of the shackles when towing. Here was their response.
When left in this position for extended periods—or under frequent heavy towing—the lifespan of the rubber components may be reduced. While this would not cause immediate failure and would typically require months of consistent heavy use to create an issue, it is an important factor to consider.
Some have said in as little as a year the rubber fails. At the price point I decided against.
I believe I read a few years ago that the Sulastic rubber doesn’t last. I find it hard to believe they can’t find a rubber or poly that will last for years or hundreds of thousands of miles. There is plenty of OEM “rubber” on these trucks that outlast many other components and last almost forever. Leaf spring bushings, shock grommets, body mounts, etc.
It sounds like Sulastic has a good product just make it a quality one. A 3-4 year life span….good grief.
