Does this happen to anyone? When I go out to run errands (not a road trip) with the fam or the wife I prefer to take the f350. Its more confrontable, my music is synced to the android auto, and I just like the truck more. However, my wife is always saying we should take her Jeep Renegade because it is smaller, easier to park and gets better gas mileage. the only time I prefer the renegade is when we go into Baltimore or DC, and if I know a parking lot is tight.
Yes, my wife too, and it's entirely reasonable to take her car for almost every trip. The Lincoln MKZ is comfortable, powerful, and gets about 24mpg (even with my dense foot on the accelerator.)
I still take my truck though. Might be a renewed discussion moving from the F-150 to the F-250, but I just like my truck.

It’s usually not even a discussion, even with my grown kids, they just default to walking to the truck when we go somewhere together. There’s more room in the front and back. It’s wider so 3-wide in the back and they can still cross their legs and sit comfortably. And my wife likes to be the passenger, prefers it actually. She drives an Armada daily - we only drive it if we need the interior cargo space for stuff, not people. The truck is our preference.
Wife and I "rocks, paper, scissor" to see what vehicle we take unless headed to the city lol. We both have great vehicles so no loss either way, we just both love to drive them.
My wife drove my old work truck... a 2009 CC/LB... for about 4 years before we replaced it. She said she wanted something a little more sporty... so SHE bought an F-250 CC/SHORT bed... that's her concession to 'sporty.'
She and I, even before I met her, have been driving pickups... me since 1992. Once in a while we will have to get a rental car... and we both hate it. We both prefer driving a truck... and a big one at that.

Was coming back from Total Wine & More last weekend. My BIL/SIL were supposed to meet us @ their place, but they called and said their daughter had a flat. We were literally 5 minutes away from where they were, so I headed over there. We got there and I proceeded to address the flat. I told my niece, her daughter and my SIL to get in the truck and stay warm. My neice jumps in, looks around, looks at her mom and says, "Damn, look at all this ROOM! You need to get one of these!"
After the DW test drove the 2024 F350 CCLB she said "buy it!" Likes it the best of all the trucks we have owned over the last 10 years. She prefers to ride in it and says it is easy to drive, even with the trailer(s) attached. Now that we traded her Bronco for an Expedition - that may change...
