I had a flowmaster on my 94 bronco with a 302, sounded good, but to quiet for me. Right now i have no muffler at all, but i still have both stock cats on it. So its got a nice rumble to it

i had a 90 5.0 truck with 2 cats. i had no muffler and it sounded like crap. i got a single in dual out with big bells angled redneck style out the back corners. but it sounded quiet since the cats were on it still.
i have a friend who has an 88 lincoln mark VII with a 5.0 HO. he had true duals with 40 series FM put on, 1 cat on each side, and it sounds really nice. its kinda quiet, but its still got a nice tone. im planning on puttin a single in, dual out on my 95 with a 5.8.
I did that on my '95 and it sounded awful. Had a "drone" to it instead of the deep big-block roar. I had it strait-piped first and that sounded worse. So I put the Flowmaster 40 on it and it improved the sound some but not a lot.
The only way to make a Ford sound good is to get rid of the cats. My new truck has 4 cats on it!! Ford gets a little carried away with the cat. converters on their trucks...and in return they don't sound very good at the tailpipe.
