Engine Squeak

had loud squeak on the front of the engine...truck only has 2500 miles on it...Oct 09 build date....appears the tensioner went south...had to order part...and putting a new belt on... hope to have truck back tomorrow...getting tired of climbing in and out of a mustang convertible....how does anybody over 5ft get in without smashing there head....put 50 miles on it used over 3/8th of a tank....want my "STROKER" back....

Khitch,
Was that kind of squeek/chirping kind of noise? Mine has been doing that for 3 or 4 days now. Seems to go away after awhile, only on cold startup.

mine sounded like a bearing that was dry...it was bad when I started it cold..sometimes it would clear up and other times it would be so loud that you couldn't hear the diesel running...It was a bad tensioner...I would have it checked out....How many miles do you have on it...mine had 2500....
