2019 Automatic High Beams

So I bought a 2019 F350 to replace my 2002 F250 which was stolen 2 weeks ago. The new truck has uto high beams and I absolutely f****** hate them. I've done plenty of Internet research trying to figure out how to shut them off but the lighting menu on my truck does not have an option for them. It only shows auto lamp delay and daytime lights. Any thoughts?

My truck is a 22 350 lariat but if you dig deep enough in the menu you can find the place to disable them. I absolutely hated them also. There’s too much traffic to even use them. I can’t remember exactly where I found the correct menu, but it’s in there if you dig deep enough. hopefully your truck is not different than the later model that I have.

Not sure if this is what you are talking about but, don’t turn the dial all the way to the right. I keep my lights off until needed.

On my 2019 F350 Lariet I can go into settings, scroll through menu until you see “auto high beams”. Toggle off and they no longer work automatically.

Yup, you're right. Everything I read and all the videos I watched showed the option being under vehicle, advanced setting, lighting. Not on my truck. Turns out if you scroll past vehicle on the menu the next option is auto High beams all by itself. I happened to be driving by the local Ford house a little while ago so I stopped in and one of thetechs showed it to me. Thanks for responding.

On my 2020 the auto can be turned on and off by cycling the high beams. Maybe that's what your meaning that you don't like. I don't mind them but I live in the country. I did see a setting in my menu in the dash before assuming that would be what kills the feature.

I don't want the feature enabled at all. But I got it figured out. I just think it's annoying as crap that they go on and off constantly. Hell, the low beams on this truck are brighter than the high beams on any vehicle I've ever owned before. I live in the country too and I still don't feel a need for high beams.

Understood! Do you have the LEDs? I had halogens and felt blind driving at night lol

Yes I do have the LEDs. They're great. Way better than the LEDs I had installed in the 02 that got stolen.
