Lowering 89 E150
Thx
There might have been drop axles or spindles available in the past but I doubt anything's still available today unless it's a common part with F-series. Something like this - https://djmsuspension.com/product/19...ocks-included/
Maybe a body kit with tighter wheel openings and low hanging rockers - https://www.sarona.com/single_product.php?id=5744 - will make it look lowered:

I wouldn't
It sucks to drive around riding the bump stops
The ride suffers the most, the alignment can be solved (sometimes)
You cannot bend the axles easily on those newer style 2x4 trucks and vans
That said, lower away
I'd try to not do anything permanent that will destroy the $ value of the van
You might want to use it as a traveling or cargo van someday
I would buy springs and shocks only, possibly shackles, and not modify the frame
I DO NOT want to be singing the "Bump Stop Blues"
I've seen the shorter springs but keep hearing about alignment issues.
Manic, think I will take your advice and not get into the front suspension. You state "possibly shackles" do you have reservations with these?
Thx again.
