I really hate to join and have a problem I'm asking for help I have a 04 F350 6.0 dually with 4 wheel ABS. Without going into all the problems that lead up to this, basically ABS light came on and the scanner wouldn't communicate. Tested pin 6 and 14 for 60 ohms scanner plug under the dash and found 120 ohms. Disconnected the ECU came up with 0 ohms. sent the ABS module out for repair. Installed it after it was returned and found the same readings. My electronics training tells me that either a bad repair or broken wire. HELP!! I'm aware that there are 2 120 ohm resisters in parallel and one is not connected. What I need is the pin out to check the internal wiring between the ABS module, ECM and scanner plug. I have the pin out drawing for the ABS module and scanner port but am lacking the ECM pin out. I would greatly appreciate any help.
I was able to find on this forum the pinout for the 3 ECM plugs but am not totally sure which plug or pin to ring each wire. I'm still digging.
I'm not sure which one you found, but you can usually identify the connector by carefully looking at the shape and location of the splines on the sides that keep you from connecting one to the wrong port.
Your checking the wrong network, the ABS module is on the ISO network on pin 7. Pin 6/14 is the CAN network and only has one termination resistor as the scan tool will have the other resistor.
Oh crap I thought it was on the can network guess you can learn everyday even at 74. I did hook up my scanner, and it did link up so it wasn't a waste of time. Thanx loads ifrythings now i can stop pulling my hair out!! GREAT HELP
