Should work great for anything under 5000 rpm.

Comp Cams 268H High energy cam should be the best cam for your application. I have a 400ci V8 with a Comp Cam Magnum 280H cam. My motor is built for good high end horsepower, and a wide torque band 2000-6000rpm. With this cam I was dyno tested at 419HP, and 523lb ft torque.

hey im planning on getting a 268 high energy cam and was wondering what other valvetrain componets are required. i plan on getting a new timing chain and gears (any imputs would be great) and new valve springs. is there anything else that i would need to keep it reliable thanx
