Excursion visor HomeLink buttons
Does anyone know if the HomeLink buttons on the Excursion visor will work with modern garage door openers? If so, how can they be programmed? I've tried everything I could find reference to but I can't get it to sync correctly. I have a feeling it has to do with the variable security codes in modern garage door openers, but I'm hoping there's a workaround.

nope,
my attached garage has a very old, like 20 years or more, opener on it.
our 2007 Kia Amanti will work with it.
the 2010 Ford F-150 won't
the '02 Excursion does not have anything on it, it is an XLT bare bones fire truck.
my shop has new overhead doors, 2 of them, Chamberlain brand, none of our cars will sync up with them... we have to use the FOBs that the vendor provided us.
I watched the installer program our FOBs, you have to sync them up with the motor controller one at a time, very frustrating.
the motor controller has a rolling memory, you start to add a new FOB, and you have to reenter all of them again

The homelink works between my 2002 excursion and the modern garage door opener we have. Im sure its original to the house which was built in 2012. Not sure much has changed in the world of garage doors since 2012

the installer warned me about trying to sync up a new FOB,
"don't do it" unless you want to redo all of them

I have the same thing, 2 cars that are away need to be home for me to program. Maybe I can do it on Thanksgiving.
