My 2000 Ford Excursion has a problem with the door checks on the rear cargo doors. One of them makes a terrible noise when opening. I have tried to lube it and clean it to no avail. So I figured I would replace. I spent too many hours on the google machine with no result. Stopped by Napa and they don't know what that part is either. Anyone know what this part is called?

I know you said that you lubed them but I had the same issue in my 03. Mine were squealing like a stuck pig, so I removed them and cleaned them with parts cleaner and a firm bristle brush. If you don’t have parts cleaner brake cleaner should do the trick. After that I lubed them with WD-40 Dry Lube reinstalled them and now I have zero squealing. I lube them every few months. Hope that helps.
I've just added a little lube to them the couple times they've needed it in the past 20 years. Looking at your picture though, it appears that top bolt on the jamb is backing out, which may be the issue...

Works great and doesn’t collect dust.
thanks I will give it a try. I used some form of silicone spray before but never took them out and cleaned them.

I’ve had mine disconnected for years,I like having the doors open all the way vs being, imited to straight back.
I agree with Tom, only I have the driver’s side hook up and the passenger side open Easier access to the back and the wind doesn’t blow the driver’s side into on coming traffic
