Valve lash issues

I have a 302 motor in a Ford 67 f100. I do not know how old the motor is. The valve lash caps that are on the motor are destroyed, which is causing excessive valve lash clearance. I cannot adjust the rocker nut down tight enough to get three-quarter turn after the point of zero lash.I’m looking at replacing the push rods and the rocker arms with roller tip rockers,because the rocker arms are worn. I looked into this because I’ve been having serious valve chatter. does anybody have any suggestions. It’s my understanding that these original valve lash caps are no longer available. My valve stem diameter is .286.

Possible cam going flat.... From using the wrong oil...

I see those factory lash caps for sale on Ebay occasionally. They generally sell for more than a replacement valve that doesn't use a cap.

I would look at doing a valve job before throwing roller rockers on there. You may be throwing money away if the heads/valves aren't in good shape.
