Valve stem clearance

I need the valve stem to rocker clearance for a 1971 302 (from a torino). The rockers are non adjustable.

There isn't any. You have hydraulic lifters which require no adjustment other than to preload the lifters on assembly. With non-adjustable rockers (yours are what's known as Positive-stop) the rocker arm nut is tightened down all the way to the shoulder on the stud and lifter preload is set by setting the valve stem height during the machining process, as in when doing a valve job.

About the only way to adjust them is by changing to a longer or shorter pushrod, which really shouldn't be neccessary.

That actually answers my question. My rockers (when there is no load on them from the springs) are pretty easy to turn side to side. I wasn't sure if there should be a gap there or not.
