Anyone thats done this swap on a 17+ make any progress on the bright lights working? I never could find a wiring diagram of the 22 headlights so just kind of gave up in December.

How far did you get with this before you gave up? I am going to do the 17-19 to 20-22 facelift and really dont like any of the aftermarket headlight options, but am struggling to put in headlights that wont have high beams. I have ordered a functioning OEM LED headlight with a broken housing and front lens to do some testing on. It will be here tomorrow. I'd rather not start from scratch if you have already found out anything that could be helpful.

I was able to get the brights to work with the truck off with the use of the lever and that's about it. Never found a wiring diagram for the 20-22 lights to see what the other pins were for. Also tried a different ballast part number which made the brights come on all the time.

I'm thinking to go a little more neanderthal on it - use an adapter harness for all functions except high beams, and tap straight into the high beam wiring AFTER the ballast (inside the headlight housing). Trigger them from a relay off the factory high beam wiring at the old headlight harness(es). No idea if it will work or not, but will find out tomorrow when I cut open a stock LED housing. 🤣
I got the test light in today and got into it. From what I am seeing, it looks like pin 3 is the high beam trigger. Still need to trace a lot of wires (there were way more in the housing than I expected).
Following this, A while back I updated my 2017 F350 Lariat with Morimoto hybrid headlights. The truck originally had halogen lights. I’ve been considering upgrading my 2019 F250 Platinum to the 20+ OEM LEDs, but I’ve held off because I want to do the update with the OEM headlights and need the high beams.
@downsouth Nice work so far. Keep me posted and if you need a ballast to test I'll send you one. Were you able to locate a pin out for the 20+ light?
I will need one at some point, thanks for the offer. I have the wiring diagrams for the truck side 20+ connector, and am still chasing wires for the headlight side. I finally was able to see a 2020+ OEM headlight in person this weekend and I am pretty sure that I have figured out what individual LEDS are the high beams that we need to activate. It looks like the 3 across the bottom row are low beams and the 3 across the top are high beams. I couldn't tell any difference in the lower LED assembly at all (I was wondering if they had a shutter that opened up to reveal he full beam, but couldn't see any evidence of that). If anyone has 20-22 LEDs can confirm, it would make this much simpler than I expected.
