There is a place west of the Great Salt Lake where they distill / refine and produce magnesium (Magcorp or U.S. magnesium)
The smoke coming from the stack looks like yellow sharpie
The cars and trucks that go there last 8 years max, and look just like that
It's depressing seeing and working on them
Eight years sounds optimistic, they must look like hell before that. Never thought of that, guys that work on cars have to see that every day.
@Mike1, my goodness, how do ya’ll live with that, that would rip my heart out. You are going to hit a pot hole or a buckled street section and something is going to break.
Whose ugly hand is that?
🤣🤣🤣 That's my son's friend. He was helping me. He's a professional welder. He does way better that I can LOL 😆

I didn’t think it was yours, too skinny.
i hate to tell you this, but welding is not going to fix that. That salt is devastating, I don’t know how ya’ll live with that, that would kill me. It would seem they could design a car/truck for the rust belt looking at that mass corrosion.
Now down to business, I just picked up the new lock ring from OReilly’s, there is “NO” way that little sheetmetal piece is still intact on that 83 model truck, no way. I thought it was a metal lug, it ain’t nothing but a piece of sheetmetal, i can practically bend it in my hands. I am going to find a mess when I drop that tank.
