Another vote for the Retrax. Previously had a Bakflip MX4 on my F150s which was fine and got another one for the current F250 and it was junk. The 4th panel didn't have a latch so would occasionally lift up in very high winds (looking at you I80 in Wyoming)
Mine isn't the "pro" so it's got a composite rolling surface. I bought it used but its still been perfect.
I have been pretty happy with my Bak Revolver X4ts on my 2024. Hardest part of the install was getting it so that the teeth lay just right in the track. I have an 8 foot bed, I imagine a short bed is much easier to get it aligned quicker.
you still happy with your revolveer X4TS? I need to replac my 8 year old revolver as it's showing it age. Actually still functional, but doesn't look it's best. The top vinyl is starting to crack and shrink. I may just try to give it away on CL as I am not sure it's worth anything.

Any how, I am ready to upgrade.
It has held up well for me, but it is only 18 months old at this point. Others here have had mixed results though it sounds like. I like that it is a pseudo hard top that rolls up easily to get out of the way. My biggest thing has been adjusting it against the tailgate to seal out water better - my previous cover was a soft tri-fold which since it sits on top of the rails instead of down on a level track simply has gravity on its side.
I installed the BakFlip MX4 (Gen 3) on my new F-450. I've had BakFlips on my last 3 trucks, no complaints. I like the flush fit of them. If I need to use the entire bed, it literally takes me 2 minutes to remove it (two hand screws).
sent them a picture of the receipt and pictures of the cracks on the top and they sent me a replacement top.

Used several BakFlip covers over the years and only had a problem with one. They sent a new one after I beat the other with a hammer and sent them pictures. My most recent (and current) cover is a Gator by RealTruck. I think it is made by BakFlip as well. Seems to be well made.
I purchased the BakFlip MX4 Hard Folding Tonneau Cover. I've been very satisfied to date. Been to Michigan with very hard rain and snow, and for the most part kept the inside pretty dry.

yeah, mine is 8 years old. They gave me a discount on a new one, so not complete SOL on it. I guess I expected to get more than 8 years our of it, but at least did something.

I went to the Ford dealer and they installed this cover. I have had this for three months. I definitely like the looks. Downside: light duty, not something I would put on a work truck. The rubber seals will need maintenance or they might crack. I owned a Revolver cover in the past. I would rate it about the same value. I want with a Gator trifold. Mostly to keep my 5th wheel hitch covered when not towing. It has worked great for 2 years. I can leave it on when hitched.

From far away that looked like .99 for unleaded. I was about to say where is that lol.

I just got a Gator trifold for my 2026 from their main distributor, and it looks pretty much the same as a Tonnopro except the rear latches. I kinda like the levers on the Tonnopro type more than the spring loaded hook handle on Gators but if it works it works. If I were to do it again I would probably stick the Tonnopro ones.
