Fill 6r80 from empty?
Hey folks
I have a used 6r80 from a wrecking yard in my van project.
Does anyone have a link to the procedure on filling one of these trans from empty?
I have 15 qts of mercon LV ready to go

I know it’s takes almost 8 just after a pan drop/filter change.
sorry, cant help you regarding a “dry” tranny.
also, if you aren’t aware, when you get within 4-5 QTs to be full, you must start the truck to get the last few QTs in. You may have to start before that to get the torque converter, cooler, etc full.
