I did the eec delete on my 84 4.9l. The plug next to the AC system only bumped up the idle when the AC was on. My AC works without it connected to anything.
This all looks alot like some of the phantom connectors I have in my '84 351w that was "deleted" by a PO. This is real interesting, I appreciate the info everyone is sharing.
