This is what I had on my '79 F150 4x4 with 460 and manual transmission. If you hit a roadblock and can't find any close to home, PM me. I could probably let these go..
Thanks for the photos and offer. I found repops online for $109 shipped per side. I am going to give L&L a bit more time while I get the year's firewood in. I will order after that. That is a pto winch off a military 5/4 hanging off the front. Warn front overload springs.
The 2wd 460 info is just what I was looking for. I will start looking for exhaust manifolds. I cut the first cord of this winter's heat this morning. I cannot tear the truck apart until that is all in.
The speedometer was sitting at 19999.1 when I parked in the shop after cutting wood. It will hit 120K before I get back on pavement. That may be low mileage for a 79, but the body looks pretty rough.
Who knows, L&L may surprise me yet.
On the manifolds for 460, use pickup/van manifolds up through at least 86, probably newer. The newer ones have more ribs for strength. The right hand side is what matters. The car manifold is too close to the frame, truck is at a 45 and clears the frame rail.
