The first thing we had to do to my 95 F350 Ext, Cab RWD, DRW, 7.3 with a Manual transmission was to replace the plastic bushings on the clutch rod.
While we had the whole bracket out, my stepdad had an idea for an improvement, so we tried it & it worked well, to the point that the bushings will probably outlive the old trucks useful life. We just used some square key stock to make the support area where the bushing went thru the bracket wider, so there was more surface area for the bushing to ride against. We also also installed a Heim kit while we were doing this repair.
