Help with clutch equalizer bushings please

Soo... I got the two larger bushings and the felts for my clutch equalizer, easy enough to replace them- but not so for the small bushing on the part where the threaded rod attaches to the arm on the equalizer. On mine it's like a rivet that has been hammered flat and not made to come apart at all. WTH? I have a new bushing for it and it needs one mo def! Any ideas?

An idea

I guess I could cut it off, replace the bushing and then use one of those spring steel do hickies to hopefully keep it together.

As it turned out

I figured out that someone had worked on it before. I had a fabricator weld a new pin Ono the equalizer and it works good again.

No bushing as original: Clutch adjustment rod has an ovate shaped end, slips onto a stud on the equalizer bar. The stud has a thru hole, hairpin clip (352358-S ~1/16" x 61/64" long) retains the rod to the stud.

Some peeps install a spring steel wave washer on either side of the rod (what Ford did 1965/76). This keeps the rod tight to the stud, so it cannot wiggle around, chewing up the stud in the process.

Two bushings: The long clutch release rod from the clutch pedal bellcrank to the equalizer bar uses two nylon bushings, one on each 90 degree end. VERIFY both are in place and in xlnt condition.

When the bushings crack apart, the 90 degree ends of the rod begin to crack, eventually snap off.

1978: There are two possible sizes of these bushings: COAZ-7526-B 3/8" I.D. (1961/77) & 1978 before serial number BA0,001 // D8TZ-7526-A 1/2" I.D. 1978: from serial number BA0,001 & 1979.
