2012 F250 6.2 Gas - Check engine light came on. Had a parts store, and a Ford dealer read the codes. Both showed the knock sensor part of the Control Module has failed and the control module needs to be replaced. Dealer said he had never seen this on a F250….. Questions1) has anyone had this on a F250? 2) if the truck is running okay, is this an urgent matter?
Coincidentally, the light came on shortly after filling up with what I think was contaminated gas. It runs okay, but didn’t have the power and acceleration response as normal. The guys that checked codes didn’t’t think the two were necessarily related.
i filled tank with new non-ethanol gas and some Lucas treatment.

Without knowing the code, there isn't a lot to go on. Any chance you have a friend or neighbor who has a code reader, or could go back to the parts store?
