Neigbor just had the same issue with his Briggs check and add oil series Briggs powered Murray. He got 1year and 3 months from it. Never changed the oil, added a quart over the course of the year and few months
Valve stuck and bent a pushrod.

what used to be called kohler is the same, never change just add oil as needed, if you do there is NO drain plug. tilt it over to drain, TORO they have become a box store throw away brand .
