Tailgate Hinge bushings seized

Tailgate Hinge bushings seized
2016 f250, 6.2, 4x4, whith what I believe has the tailgate assist.
The factory driver side bushing decided to break, the problem is the bushing/ metal slot seems to be seize, I tried to lube it but didn't work, I believe it has the tailgate assist as it used to go down slow. Now im in the process of taking the tailgate off and figuring out how to unseize the driver side tailgate hinge and install new bushings.
Any of you ever had to replace them? If so some pointers would be appreciated.
