I got KYB on all four corners about 9 years/55,000 miles ago. Still working fine. City and highway only.

I’ve had good luck with Bilstein and KYB for daily driving — they’re reliable and handle well without being too stiff. If you’re on a budget, Monroe can work, but they tend to wear out faster compared to higher-end options. At 222k miles, investing in something a bit more durable might be worth it.

I think I'm.going to try Bilstein next. I thought the KYB were terrible, NAPA house brand not really any better, Motorcraft are certainly fine, but maybe Bilstein next go around.

Those are my go to shock for 2x4s, work nicely for DD to me. About 30k on them in the 01 Screw. Actually I think I did 4600 on the 01 Expedition too, that is 4x4.

Check your upper control arms while down, they are a breeze to snap if worn.

Back in the Day when I walked and into the parts store and asked for shocks, he said what brand of gas shocks do you want and I said oil filled no gas. I want my truck to ride like a Cadillac, and he just gave me a funny look lol.
