2 Ranger ??

A friend of mine found a 87,2.9, 4x4 ext cab Ranger for sale for $500.00 it was drove till last week as a daily driver and the guy said it has a blown head gasket{might be a cracked head }.Idont know about the miles or if its a auto or manul.It has a new set of tires on it.Is this truck wort $500.00 or not?
I have a 89 4x4 reg cab long bed Ranger.It did not come with a rear swaybar on it new,but all the other 4x4 rangers I hve seen have them.Was this a optntion or was it left off my Ranger?? I dont went it on there now I dont thnk the truck needs it,I was just worndoring if the forgot to put it on mine.Just like Ford to forget something!

$500 is not much money and the truck is 4x4. If you figure that a respectable used truck should run about $3000, that leaves $2500 to fix it up.

I would bet a head is cracked and if he drove it the coolant may have leaked in the crankcase and that would trash the bears so plan on a rebuild.

Thats odd, my 19892wd had one, if no one gives you an answer let me know and I'll dig out the brochure.

I have an 87 4x4 reg cab that I bought from the original owner a few months back and it has no sway bar. Also my 882wd does not have one. Hope that helps.
