Welcome aboard. You didn't mention where you bought the replacement horn but I'm curious. When you say leads are you talking about wires coming off of the horn? Or just a terminal to connect a wire to? Reason I ask is the original horns didn't have any wires permanently attached to them, just a single terminal for power. The horn(s) get their ground from the clamp they are bolted to which is connected to the core support which should be connected to frame/chassis ground. Since the ground comes from the bracket the only terminal was where the horn wire connected to.
i did get the high pitched horn from dennis caroenter. my old horn has only one lead and its a blade style. so i tried to just jump the new one to see how to wire it correctly..i went off the battery pos. to the silver screw the ground out the horn by putting the mounting bolts on neg on battery.. nothing so i reversed the process.. nothing. so not sure if that means im an idiot or its just a bad new horn. im guessing its me. again anyhelp is GREATLY APPRECIATED.. again thankyou
