Changed the oil on '16' today and noticed the upper radiator hose collapsed. After doing a search on the forum it seems to be a normal occurrence. Some change the degas coolant cap. Cap is fairly cheap at $15+/-. I guess I'll just change it out. 79k miles on the truck.
I'll check the water level in the batteries might need to add some distilled water and clean the outside of the batteries with baking soda and distilled water tomorrow.

Went for a 3.5 hour road trip to the horse range and all looks good with the coolant hose. Does look like a little coolant needs to be removed though. Time to bring the turkey baster out, just won't let the wife know.
A little cleanup on the batteries and hold downs. Fluid level in the batteries good. Gave a good scrubbing with baking soda and distilled water. A fresh coat of black paint on the hold down bars and a fresh coating of NCP2 battery corrosion preventive on the connections. Good for another year or so.
Now looking at the engine compartment it looks like it needs a cleaning. A viscous cycle.
With the yearly application of Carwell oil under the hood, I had zero corrosion issues with the factory hold down brackets... now no longer even a thought with the Interstate AGMs.
I never clean under the hood for obvious reasons, I want it dirty to keep corrosion at bay. But I did have to clean the top of my radiator because the oil was collecting dust and clogging it up... and tell them to no longer spray on top of the upper radiator support.
