Hi I’m wondering if I could swap an e4od transmission from a 1997 f-150 with a 5.4L engine onto a 1993 bronco with a 5.8L engine the 5.8L engine had an e4od on it prior.
Even if a 96 or 97 E4OD with the right bolt pattern (97 F250 w/5.8; 96 F150/F250/Bronco w/4.9, 5.0, or 5.8) and tail could be obtained, the solenoid board will differ compared to a 93 (diodes).
Nope. Different engine to transmission (bell housing) pattern.
As I understand it, some early mod motors actually used the sbf bell housing pattern. Not sure what years, but the OP's question may be possible. The electrical issues are more the limiting factor.
