1965 N700 330HD. What's stopping me from adapting a later Model PS gear box? Mounting: I can fabricate. Clocking to steering shaft: able to change to aftermarket shaft. Direction of rotation: Potential Problem. Donor truck: 1990's ford 700+, Freightliner 1990''s-2000's (or another)???
I am selling my 1969 f600 with a 330 and power steering. I also have a power steering pump setup from a B600 bus with a 361-391 , possibly a 330. I will have to check which engine it is.
The F600's steering box is inside the frame rail (and hard to R&R: the engine/trans have to be moved to the passenger side in order to gain enough clearance); the F700's is outside the frame rail. IDK about the N700's.
I bought a PS gear box from an 89 GMC 7000 with a 9k lbs front axle. Position is the same and angle is +/-10 degree. I plan to use the new pitman arm. I might have to mill a sleeve for the far end of the arm.
