I went to put my drivers side running board on. I can't figure out how to mount it without dropping the mounting brackets and those are attached to the gas tank except the rear one.
Any tips?
I can add pictures tomorrow if it will help illustrate the issue.
You shouldn't have to remove the brackets to put the running boards on. If you take them off then you have nothing to mount the running boards onto. They sit on top of the brackets then are bolted in and bolted to front and rear fenders.
I just removed and replaced my LH running board on my f100, and you don't have to remove the brackets.
I started at an angle with the front end high and slid the running board to the back fender first and then lowered the front into place. Kinda hard to see from this pic.
the f250 has 3 mounting brackets as the f100 only has 2, so it might be harder to do.
Maybe remove the rear brackets if necessary?
I was able to get the running board mounted but had to remove the rear support bracket to allow it to tip back enough far enough to move it into place.
