On the 2026 and some prior years F250 there's this open space-Cubby above the glove compartment (that has a door). I'm often on steep bumpy up hill and downhill dirt roads and anything in that cubby will bounce out. Has anyone made or found a source for an open and close door for this cubby.?
This right here. It is basically a 2nd glove box on XLT and above. For XL trucks it's more of a shelf.
I THINK a few guys have managed to add the door but I also think you need to get several dash pieces to do so, it's not just a 'snap in the door' kinda thing.
If there are aftermarket options I wouldn't know what they would be, besides bungie cords and Command hooks or bolts/screws through your dash.
I believe you need to change the whole dash pad if you want one with the door.
I recently saw a thread where this is mentioned. I think the guy got the parts to do it only to discover that the dash pad also had to be replaced.
Edit: Found it. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-why-ford.html
I ended up putting some of the non-skid drawer liner like I have in my toolboxes in mine (2022 F550 6.7 4x CC) helps a bit, but on some of the steep mtn trails a few things hit the deck on the uphill climb...
I like the door aspect, but, it's my work truck and I didn't get a choice in the trim, probably a good thing for them!
Ok, thank y'all. I don't like the idea of tearing apart the dash. I'll probably go with bungie cord netting as that will prevent fall out and allow easy access.
