Engine mount rubber torn?

It's not. I know a fellow that had one tear on the driver side long ago. Rather than replace it, he just added a chain from head to frame to hold it in place rather than rise up under load. I recall seeing the chain, he had some slack in it. I know he drove it like that up until he sold the truck.
As one accelerates, the driver side is pulled, the passenger side is compressed.
I guess you maybe felt some vibration? Do you know if OEM have a retainer joining the steels through the rubber to prevent total tear away.
