In the middle of doing an oil pan gasket and found that both of my motor mounts are currently of the bluetooth variety (they still sit on each other, but the rubber is no longer connected). I'm looking through the available options through RA and realize that I don't know much about the differences here.
The brands that are offered are "DEA / Marmon Ride Control", Anchor, Westar, or Pioneer. There seem to be 2 types - solid rubber and hydraulic. I'm guess the "hydraulic" ones are just a fluid filled rubber mount, meant to dampen vibrations. The prices generally range from $10-15 each.
So to my question: Which brand/type should I go with? I'm guessing these are all foreign made and of relatively low quality, but so will be the ones from the box stores.

Pretty much. Expect to replace them again in a couple years.
Old school here, but the old Lincoln MK and Taurus mounts were hydraulic too and the Autozone ones were more $$ than the Ford ones
However, they were lifetime mounts
Hell, damn hard to replace on a Taurus
After 3 sets of lifetime mounts on a SHO, I switched back to Ford mounts for my sanity
Your truck should be fairly easy to replace a mount on, so I would at least "start" with a cheap one
Lifetime warranty usually means you will be replacing that part for a lifetime. It has nothing to do with the life of the part. It's just a sales pitch to buy junk. This applies to alternators and starters too. Anything from the automotive industry with a lifetime warranty means junk.
Of course, there are exceptions, not many, but there are.
