motor mount question

motor mount question

i have a 77 ford 400 motor and i have the motor mounts and the motor perchest to put into my truck but i was woundering if there is any rubber boot or rubber mount that mounts between the 2. I know on my 94 ford f-150 with a 6 it has the motor mounts and some rubber circle disc between that and the frame does the 400 use those or is it just motor mount and metel?

motor mount question

Hmm, on my 351C there is a rubber block between two bits of metal - one bolts to the motor and the other to the chassis, and if they get seperated you need a new mount cos the rubber is meant to be bonded to the metal bits.

because i got the motor mounts and those are on the motor and i have the frame perches the little metel riases that the motor mounts go into but i thought there was rubber peice im not sure what that would be called? because if i need it then i need to buy it because im getting close to day where the motor goes in but i need to make sure i have all the parts

any more info picture digrames etc would be GREAT

motor mount question

The part I am talking about (2 bits of metal with a bonded block of rubber in the middle), bolts u to the piece which you say is bolted to the block, with a long pin, I do believe.
