Anyone know if the rubber boot is needed on the steering shaft?
I've never been able to keep it put for long as it slides down super easy. It slides down to the opposite end causing a more spongy feel while making tight steering turns around corners....
Can I remove it by cutting it out ?
It's been sitting in the opposite end of the steering shaft for a long time.
Is it needed ?
Attached is pic:
Difficult, but if you get that boot fully inserted into the hole, the boot should stay put
Sometimes the firewall insulation pad is partially in the way
Pry that insulation out of the way of the boot area and try it again
