I went from stock 20s on 37" Toyo MTs running 45/40 PSI in the tires to method 17s on 37" Toyo RT Trails running 40/35 PSI. I thought the 17s were a bit more plush.
I think tire pressure plays a bigger factor though. My 296/65R20s with about 60/75 would have made you think there was something wrong with the truck if you had previously been in it with the 45/40 I typically run. My girlfriend complained often about the ride with the tires aired up actually.
